How to pronounce my name:
My fields are sociological theory, cultural sociology, political sociology, comparative historical sociology, organizations, and research methodology. My research explores issues related to legitimacy, cultural dimensions of political violence, and contemporary Turkey. I also study research methods, and have published on methods including case studies, configurational comparative analysis, ethnography, regression, and social network analysis, as well as on multi-method approaches to social research. My book Regression Inside Out (co-authored with David Melamed and Ronald Breiger) was published by Cambridge University Press in 2024, and I am currently completing a book titled Legitimacy: A Relational Perspective, which is under contract with Columbia University Press. For information on my current projects, check out my website.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, reading, jogging, playing music, and traveling with my family.
